Fun & Creativity
Children will engage in themed art projects. Children will use art materials such as paint, craft materials and crayons to create a masterpiece to show understanding of the weekly activity.
Children will explore music by manipulating musical instruments and engaging in finger plays and nursery rhymes.
SCC scholars will make connections with everyday experiences using a hands-on learning approach. Scholars will be guided using their natural curiosity of the environment by being provided with materials and the opportunity to explore.
Early language development is very important for young scholars. SCC will enhance language development by guiding initial language development such as babbling, responding to their name and others language. Building on language development with toddlers through labeling, exploring letter and sound recognition.
Mathematics is more than just numbers. Your scholar will learn about measurement by exploring recipes and filling containers. Other math skills include counting, reciting numbers, comparing and recognizing shapes in the real world.
Outdoor is an amazing place for children to learn about our environment . SCC scholars will explore outdoor activities daily, with the added bonus of Michigan offering Four Seasons. Your scholar will explore pushing, pulling, manipulating and exploring objects using sensory skills.
